This slow and easy class for any age helps you increase flexibility, strength and breathing efficiency, and helps to restore balance and vitality. The only requirement is that you are able to get to and from the floor without assistance -- usually only once per class.
Chair Yoga consists of breathing exercises, gentle stretches, strengthening and meditation. You remain seated in most poses, or may use the chair for support in standing poses. YOU WILL NOT NEED TO GET TO THE FLOOR. Your special needs will be considered, and the teachers are trained in providing modifications for many physical limitations.

Svaruh: A Sanskrit word meaning self-growing, or growing from the root -- the only place from which we can grow, where we are now. This class uses yoga tools and non-judgmental acceptance to help us grow in body, mind and spirit. Some of the best in online or DVD instruction will be included in most classes. Suitable for beginning to intermediate students.
